"Tashi
Delek" - Hello
With my personal positive experience,
sponsoring two girls through the Tibetan Children's Village, I decided
to do more for these Children in exile and for Tibet in general.
Hence, the idea to create a website to widen the scope of my search
for new sponsors, was born.
After telling my family and closest
friends about this idea, which is based on this positive experience
and my excellent contact with the Tibetan Children's Village at
Dharamsala, some of them spontaneously decided to take up a sponsorship
as well. I am deeply convinced that there are never enough individuals/organizations
who involve themselves with helping others - needy individuals.
Being aware of the circumstances,
these children arrive at the TCV in the light of the long lasting
critical situation in Tibet: Most of these children are sent to
India by their parents in order to get a good school education,
(in Tibetan – not Chinese language) a traditional Tibetan,
as well as a modern education. Other children were born in India
as a child of refugees. Many of these parents are illiterate and
ignorant and do not speak Hindi. It is therefore almost impossible
to find work and like this – they do not have the money to
send their children to school or even dress and nourish them properly.
Be assured that each of these children
met one's fate. They are the youngest, innocent victims of a region
of terror. Terror that dominates every individual's life in a way,
that they are suffering from a lack of basic human rights, e.g.
religious and cultural freedom, self-determination to go where ever
and do whatever they like.
Therefore our personal engagement
is needed. The chance to contribute to a humanitarian matter is
desperately asking for support. Just in doing whatever we can to
help - how little the help may seem - you should not hesitate to
do so. With only CHF 480.00 per year you can support ONE needy child
by providing a bed, clothes, food, care, a modern and at the same
time a Tibetan education.
Sincere thanks for visiting this
website. Maybe it even encourages you to take up a sponsorship -
or you may have a friend and want to tell him/her about the possibility
to shine a light on a Tibetan child in need. You will not regret
- when in the future - you will be corresponding with your child
and feel her/his happiness and gratitude.
"Totcheche" - Thank you
